The Power of Prayer or Making a Wish
Careful What You Put Out Into the World

When I was a child, I was once told if I looked at a star, made a wish, and touched a piece of gold, the wish would come true.
We all have heard about looking at a shooting star and making a wish, or making a wish and blowing out the candles on our birthday cake. Then there is the classic tossing a coin into the fountain after making a wish.
Would you believe me if I told you I actually believe in that science?
This is why:

THOUGHTS = ENERGY
If you look throughout the laws of physics, for every action there is a reaction AND energy is always 100% transferred.
When we have a thought, we create an energy pulse in our brain. This energy pulse then leaves our brain and goes out into the world. Just like the picture above, everything we think and do has ripple effects that go out into the Universe. Any scientist would agree. Alone, our minds are very powerful manifestation tools. As with all ripple effects, eventually it comes back to us, more enhanced, as you can see below....the waves created by the first thought will eventually make it's way back to you. The farther a wave travels, the harder it's going to, what I will say, "hit" you -

This is why I believe in the power of prayer, why I believe in affirmations, why I believe in the power of positive thinking and why I believe in the thinking of "you become what you believe". Even if one were to think it's all "hogwash" - there are studies that have shown those who go through life with a positive disposition are more likely to have a higher quality of life regardless of their financial situation.
The main reason why I put an affirmation in every Zaharoff suit and sport jacket is because when one would put his/her jacket on, even just glancing at the affirmation would send out a positive burst of energy.
So let's get to some of the different kinds of wishes.

COIN INTO FOUNTAIN
You take a thought, in this case a wish, which is a burst of energy, enhance it with something perceived as valuable, like a coin, which now enhances the thought or the wish, throw it into the fountain, which then creates energy when it hits the water. The "wish" is then released into the Universe by a power of three.
WISH (first energy) x COIN (second energy) x HITTING WATER (third energy) = WISH to the 3rd power.
The reason I say the coin is perceived value because subconsciously, the coin is valuable to us. You could throw a rock into the water and the same would hold true, but subconsciously we don't value the rock. The coins in the fountain don't actually represent wishes; they were released when the splash occurred.

LIGHTING A CANDLE
Lighting a candle is a very powerful method of sending energies into the Universe. It was used with prayer for centuries. Ever thought why?
Lighting a candle is energy. This is a proven fact. If you were to put a glass of water on top of the flame the water would start to boil.
Religions use candles with prayer. In a sense a prayer is like a wish isn't it? We pray for happiness, health, peace of mind.
PRAYER/WISH (first energy) x LIGHT CANDLE (second energy) x ENERGY CANDLE CREATES (third energy) = WISH enhanced
A candle is more powerful than throwing a coin to the water.

INCENSE
The same applies as to a candle. Incense burning (above) also takes prayers to an entirely different level.

AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmations are like little bolts of energy the brain creates and sends out to the world. They are important because if you keep repeating it over and over again, the subconscious mind picks it up...and the rest of the world.
MORAL OF THE STORY
Try to make sure what you put out into the world is positive! There is a reason why all these different sayings about "Birds of a feather flock together" or why during the earliest times one can remember monks would like a candle and meditate/pray.
