My Life with Piccolo - 2 yrs Later

It's been two years since I brought my little pooch (boy) into my life.  I can't believe how quickly time passes.  As I type this, he is laying on my side sleeping.  Looking back, he has brought so much joy and happiness into my life.

The above picture was taken the first time I put Piccolo in my arms, January 1st, 2009.  We looked at each other and it was love at first sight....

He is quite the personality - and from what I hear from other "IGGY" or Italian Greyhound owners - he is very typical.  One thing, he does not like the cold.  At all.  The moment he hears the heat kick in the house, he runs to the kitchen where the heat duct is level with the floor and lays right on it.

At night, he crawls into the bed and goes deep into the sheets making sure he stretches his body against every possible inch of my body.  Feeling his pure warmth and the beat of his heart fills my heart with emotions I can't describe.

It's amazing what someone can do with some red fleece fabric and a piece of French tapestry.    During the summer months, I try to take him out twice a day - it relaxes me probably more than it does him.  In the winter time, we both get cabin fever.  The above picture was taken today.

When he walks, he actually looks like he is tippy-toeing, so funny.  And he is so quiet you can never tell what he is doing - that why when it's too quiet, I have to look around to make sure he isn't up to trouble.

The love of my life.  He brings me back down to the moment - and I seem to enjoy life more.  I find myself singing to him, chauffeuring him around, and even going to bank (they let me bring him in.  I love it.

Thank you for letting me share Piccolo with you.

xoxo
George
