Zanzibar: Zaharoff Fall 2010 Men's Collection
Fall 2010 Boucle Sport Jacket

One of my most favourite pieces of the collection, I honestly believe every gentleman should have my boucle jacket (pronounced BOO-clay). Why? Because you can wear it with a nice pair of trousers, a shirt and tie, at work, with a sweater on casual Fridays, or at a party with jeans and a t-shirt. Not only that, but it's also great for travel. You can stick it in an overhead bin for eight hours and still looks great afterwards.
Before the fabric is made, the actual yarn is tied into a loop, like a little knot - and then woven. So, in a sense, the yarn is already wrinkled before being made. What you actually see is a fabric that is wrinkled, but from far away it looks beautiful and sturdy.

Another look, this time casual - and a closer look at the fabric.
I went and visited Chimp Haven in Shreveport, Louisiana and was wearing this jacket. Chimpanzees throw things at you and have great aim. It was also raining and thus it was muddy. But I have to tell you, when I got onto an airplane that evening, the jacket looked as if I had just bought it.
For those who are wondering how it feels like. A jacket like that must be made out of polyester and feel like it too.
Well, how does wool and cashmere sound to you?
Italian Boulce - Made proudly in the United States. The fabric is cashmere-wool.
