Flip Flops with a Suit?


This picture was taken at a menswear trade show "Idea Como" in MIlan, Italy, on the 9th of September 2009.  These are flip flops...and yes, he is wearing a suit with a tie.  I find it so unusual I had to post it.  Maybe as sort of a...how shall we say...learning tool as to what NEVER to do.

I don't understand the mentality of it - it isn't chic at all.  It looks odd, doesn't it?  Kind of freaky, eh -

      Daniel, thanks for leaving a comment - a linen suit with sandals is A LOT different than wearing a wool bespoke suit to a men's fabric show in Milan in September.  If you were in Los Angeles or Miami, with a linen suit, flip flops or sandals would work - although I would wear leather flip flops.
