The Basics of Etiquette
The Basic Rules of Etiquette
Finger-pointing, a no-noWhere to start? Here's the basics:
- Never point at another person.*
- Never pick your teeth or clean your nails in public.
- Never "fish" someone (especially a child) about someone's family members.
- Never open and/or read letters addressed to others.
- Never notice a scar or deformity of anyone present.
- Never bring attention to someone's weight or age.
- Never make yourself the hero of your own story.
- Never purposely scare someone.
*Pointing
This is the most difficult because we are used to pointing even before we begin to even utter our first words. But pointing a finger at someone is a big no-no, especially in some parts of the world. What to do? Consciously teach yourself to never use your index finger when having a conversation.
If you want to point something out (say the exit), use the index finger and the one right next to it (two fingers).

Thank you for sharing this, George.
Especially to best way to point something out. The other items are equally important, but this is often forgotten.

I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time. I've just stumbled this page for you :-D
